Ayrshire business leaders attend House of Lords
Business leaders, including Easton Group director Steven Easton, have taken centre stage in a national conversation on enterprise and innovation.

Leaders from Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce attended the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) President’s Lunch at the House of Lords, a gathering that brought together chamber figures from across the UK and around the world to discuss the future of business support and collaboration.
The event, held in the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace within the Palace of Westminster, was hosted by BCC president Baroness Martha Lane Fox CBE and welcomed more than 150 influential guests.
Claire Baird, CEO of Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “It was an honour to represent Ayrshire at such a significant gathering. Events like this reinforce the importance of unity and shared vision across our network. The energy, innovation and collaboration on display were truly inspiring.”
She was joined by chamber president Craig Johnstone, vice president Steven Easton, and head of projects Gillian Longmuir.
Guests heard from speakers including Heba Bevan OBE, CEO and founder of UtterBerry Ltd, Baroness Lane Fox, and BCC chair Sarah Howard MBE. Discussions focused on the future of enterprise, digital leadership, and the role of chambers in building resilient economies.
The Ayrshire chamber team’s presence underscored the region’s commitment to growth, innovation, and its role in shaping the wider business landscape. The event also highlighted the enduring partnerships and collective ambition that drive the chamber movement.
Ayrshire Chamber continues to promote business growth and opportunity in the region while contributing to national and international discussions on enterprise.
