Green Home Systems raise £10K for Shelter Scotland

Month: October 2022

Easton Capital backed, Green Home Systems, hosted a golf day on 11th October 2022 at the legendary Royal Troon Golf Course in Ayrshire. The event was held to raise funds for Shelter Scotland so that they can continue their fight against poor housing conditions and homelessness.

Royal Troon Golf Course was founded in 1878 and is famous throughout the world for its legendary Old Course. In 2024 it will host its tenth Open attracting the best golfing talent from across the globe.

The charity day was a great success and saw four-ball teams compete from a shotgun start with prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive. Winners Dmac Digital claimed victory and were closely followed by Circularity Capital and STV.

The event raised £10,329 for Shelter Scotland and will go towards supporting the most vulnerable people across Scotland who struggle with homelessness and poor housing conditions. The principal sponsor, Green Home Systems, install insulation and renewables throughout Scotland with a particular focus on alleviating fuel poverty and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Green Home Systems was founded in 2014 by Easton Group directors, Peter Easton and Steven Easton, who now provide strategic guidance and oversight as non-executive directors and board members. The business is operated by an independent senior management team led by Managing Director, Alastair Macphie, who has the ambition and remit to deliver continued high growth for the business and the green economy.

“We really appreciate the fantastic support from our partner Green Home Systems in organising this golf day to raise much needed funds for Shelter Scotland.

It is only with the support of businesses and our communities that we will be able to continue to help those who struggle with bad housing and homeless across Scotland and events like this are vital in our fundraising.”

“Green Home Systems appreciates the fantastic work being done by Shelter Scotland, and wholeheartedly supports their mission to improve housing conditions in Scotland.

We share a similar mission, and have been working tirelessly with local authorities for the past eight years to alleviate the stresses of the energy crisis on Scottish households by making homes more energy efficient.”
